- ➤ State leaders announced up to 1,000 new infant, toddler— and pre-K care spots coming by 2026 from a $300 million endowment that makes care free for families earning under $100,000 and discounted for those earning between $100,000 and $150,000. - ➤ Amtrak and CTrail trains were replaced by buses on Friday and are being replaced today, and will continue to be replaced on Sunday and Monday because a short-term infrastructure project is underway to maintain rail reliability—riders should check updated schedules and allow extra time for travel. - ➤ The 89th Manchester Road Race will take place on Thursday, Nov. 27 at 10 a.m. in front of St. James Church on Main Street in Manchester and will feature runners like Olympian Jenny Simpson and defending champion Weini Kelati.
