- ➤ New Haven tech entrepreneur David Salinas is launching a hemp-infused seltzer that blends 3 mg of THC and 3 mg of cannabigerol across three flavors. The drink will be sold at 15 package stores statewide and a new store near Dunkin' Park in Hartford will open next week. Connecticut Post

- ➤ Connecticut agencies warn homeowners about chimney scams where door-to-door workers offer low-cost fixes that are not needed. Homeowners are told to verify contractor credentials and get local recommendations before hiring—48 complaints have been received since last fall. Connecticut Post

- ➤ First and Last Bakery in Hartford recalled pasta sauces sold at Big Y and Stop & Shop due to a risk of food poisoning from improper processing—these products include Original Marinara, Original Traditional Marinara, and Original Puttanesca Sauce packaged in 26 fl. oz. jars with use-by dates in Sept.—The recall follows a finding by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. - ➤ Hartford HealthCare plans to buy Manchester Memorial and Rockville General from Prospect Medical Holdings and invest $312 million over the next three years to upgrade services+ local leaders in Vernon and Manchester said the move will help residents get care closer to home while keeping key offerings like the Rockville emergency department intact. - ➤ Two UConn men’s basketball players, Alex Karaban and Solo Ball, were named to the Naismith Trophy watchlist for the 2025-2026 season — marking the first time any Huskies have been recognized in this way. They helped lead the team to a win against New Haven on Monday — and they are expected to drive UConn’s offense as the season continues. FOX61
- ➤ UConn’s women team will face No. 20 Louisville Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis — the Armed Forces Classic, which was moved from Germany, will feature women’s basketball for the first time to honor U.S. troops overseas. WFSB-TV
- ➤ UConn wide receiver Skyler Bell earned the New England Football Writers Association Gold Helmet Award after catching eight passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns in the 38-19 win over UAB last Saturday. - ➤ Lyme-Old Lyme High School senior Chase Gilbert won the CIAC Girls State Open Cross Country Championship at Wickham Park in Manchester on November 3 with a career-best 17:50 that put her 14 seconds ahead—she trained with former Olympian Jan Merrill-Morin and will run at the New England Championships on Saturday before joining the University of Virginia next year. - ➤ Eric Reibe started his first game as a freshman for UConn men's basketball on Monday when Tarris Reed Jr. was out with a hamstring injury—he scored six points in a 79-55 win over New Haven at Gampel Pavilion.
