- ➤ Firefighters are battling a fire on Shultas Place in Hartford today—fire engines are working at a multi-family home that caught fire while crews closed Wethersfield Avenue. WTNH News 8
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Hartford man with a long criminal record, Morris 'Mo' Carter III, 36, was federally convicted on Friday in Bridgeport for gun charges after he struck a convenience store patron with a gun magazine that sent ammunition flying on Feb. 19th, 2023—he now faces up to 15 years for unlawful gun possession and additional charges for a gun with an obliterated serial number. - ➤ On Sunday, Aug 17, 2025 at 12:30 a.m., a fatal crash on Rye Street in East Windsor left a man aged 27 dead when his Ford F350 crossed the centerline, struck a guardrail, overturned, and ejected him from the vehicle—diesel fuel leaked from the truck and triggered an environmental response.
