- ➤ Tickets for the Le Creuset factory-to-table event in Hartford went on sale Monday at noon on the company’s website — the event will take place at the Connecticut Convention Center’s Hall A from Sept. 4 to Sept. 7. WFSB-TV

- ➤ Yesterday, the state rested its case in Hartford Superior Court against Holloway and Jenkins for their alleged role in a 2022 Farmington hot tub home invasion where cellphone evidence showed Holloway’s phone near Hartford and Avon and former exotic dancer Mary Bradford testified against them. - ➤ Hartford police arrested two more people in connection with a May 9 funeral shooting and stabbing at Gospel Lighthouse Apostolic Church—where one person was shot and another was stabbed—charging a 40-year-old with assault in the second degree and firearm possession while a 44-year-old faces criminal possession of a firearm. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ A survey from the National Retail Federation showed that 50% of Connecticut families are shopping early for back-to-school supplies due to tariff concerns and rising costs, with experts advising parents to delay purchases and stack promo codes to save money. RetailMeNot reported that families are expected to spend $177 for grade school students and $212 for high school students, and the state tax-free week will run from August 17th through August 23rd while Massachusetts offers its tax-free weekend on August 9th-10th. - ➤ WalletHub released a report ranking states to have a baby based on 31 factors such as cost, healthcare access and family support — Connecticut ranked 11th with strong marks for healthcare and baby friendliness despite higher costs.
