- ➤ Ian Michael Pierce, a former Tolland resident fired for misappropriating client funds, now faces charges of larceny, forgery, criminal impersonation and other counts for a fraud scheme that defrauded victims of at least $250K + he reportedly misled family, friends and former clients by falsely claiming to work as an insurance agent + authorities say the scheme began after his termination in March. - ➤ On Saturday, Hartford police responded to an alarm at a New Britain Avenue liquor store—where a clerk was hit with a club-like weapon during an alleged robbery—and said a ski-masked man demanded money and fled the scene. WTNH News 8
