- ➤ Lisa D’Angelo was named deputy chief state's attorney of operations on Friday and becomes the first woman to hold this role in Connecticut — she will start her four-year term on July 1 managing several bureaus and representing the state in criminal appeals. Connecticut Post

- ➤ Connecticut health officials urged residents to check for ticks as warmer weather increases outdoor activities and the risk of Lyme disease grows. They advise using bug spray — wearing light-colored clothing and checking for ticks after outdoor time to help prevent any illness. CT News Junkie
