- ➤ CT DMV Commissioner Tony Guerrera admitted that the agency never created a system to track funds from unclaimed towed vehicles as a century-old law requires—one meant to return extra proceeds to car owners or the state. Lawmakers have proposed a bill that will require tow companies to report sale details within 15 days so unclaimed funds go to the state's unclaimed property fund. CT Mirror
