CRIME NEWS

  • West Hartford police arrested Matthew Cruz, 35, on Thursday and charged him on eight counts that include selling fentanyl, crack cocaine, powder cocaine and heroin, operating a drug factory and possessing six guns—he could not post his $1.5 million bond and appeared at Hartford Superior Court on Friday.  FOX61
  • A judge ordered Waterbury stepmom Kimberly Sullivan to wear a GPS monitor as a condition of her release after her defense attorney entered a not guilty plea on Friday morning in a case accusing her of holding her husband’s son captive for twenty years—she faces charges including assault, kidnapping, unlawful restraint, cruelty to persons and reckless endangerment while the case returns to court on April 22.  WTIC
  • A man was arrested after a road rage incident on I-91 in Windsor at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday when his Honda Pilot tailgated, sideswiped a victim's car, and fired four shots that hit the victim's arm — 23-year-old Amir Wali now faces assault, firearms, and driving charges with bond set at $250,000.  FOX61
