ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Revolution Wind, a sustainable power plant off Connecticut's coast, began delivering electricity Friday night (set to power about 350,000 homes, lower energy costs and create jobs) as Sen. Blumenthal noted the fully vetted project overcame past federal security concerns.  News 12 Connecticut
  • During coyote breeding season, residents along Dickinson Road in Marlborough report sightings near their homes, and experts warn pet owners to supervise small animals as litters may be born in April (the risk of attacks remains low).  FOX61

  • Governor Lamont has proposed ending Community First Choice, a home care program serving about 7,000 residents so they can choose their personal care attendants, in favor of agency—managed waiver programs that may cause long wait times, leaving families worried about care access.  CT Mirror
