  • State officials said the Iran conflict has driven up fuel prices and raised cost concerns for Connecticut families. Gov. Ned Lamont noted during a Meriden press conference Tuesday that a gas tax holiday may help ease higher heating, shipping, and grocery costs + protect consumers.  CT Mirror

  • A public hearing on Tuesday discussed a proposed state bill to limit self-checkout lanes to eight and require one worker for every two self-checkouts at grocery stores including Stew Leonard’s in Newington.
