  • Manchester officials denied a trucking facility permit on Commerce Road due to statutory rules, and Singh Realty Group refiled its application on Feb. 10.   • Library advocates urge state lawmakers to fully fund the borrowIT CT program after Gov. Lamont proposed a 20% cut that would trim reimbursements by about $140,000. The reduction may force small libraries to limit lending to non-residents.  CT Mirror
  • Federal lawmakers Congressman John Larson and Senator Chris Murphy toured the condemned Concierge Apartments in Rocky Hill Tuesday afternoon with the town mayor, while displaced residents awaited notice on returning home as property owners worked on repairs amid a federal investigation.  WFSB-TV

HEALTH NEWS

  • A new public board now shows wait times in CT hospitals, launched on Jan. 21, and reveals that nearly 200,000 emergency patients (about 40% of those needing hospital care) waited over four hours in 2024.  Connecticut Public
