- ➤ Officials announced updates Monday afternoon for evacuated residents from unsafe Concierge Apartments in Rocky Hill, where tenants continued staying in hotels on a third day. A 93-year-old woman was found unresponsive outside a Windsor Locks care facility early Sunday and died from the cold after leaving the center. WFSB-TV

- ➤ General Dynamics Electric Boat plans to hire 8,000 employees in 2026, with 3,500 positions at Quonset Point, 2,500 trades jobs in Groton, and the remainder in engineering, design and other divisions. - ➤ FORGE has expanded into Connecticut and partnered with the state's Office of Manufacturing to support local hardtech startups with product development grants. The nonprofit recently awarded over $220,000 to three companies in Stratford on Jan. 22, including Hera Materials, which will set up a facility in the state. CT Mirror

- ➤ On Friday, Feb. 6, Hartford lawmakers and housing advocates unveiled a plan seeking $113 million annually to expand rental help, emergency shelters, and supportive housing amid a 44% rise in homelessness since 2021.
