- ➤ Federal grants for addiction and mental health support were cut Tuesday, putting local nonprofits at risk. Governor Lamont said the legislature created a $500 million fund to fill the gap, while community leaders urge the federal government to reverse the cuts — a move needed to protect vital services. - ➤ Connecticut launched a yellow envelope program on Wednesday, Jan. 14 in Hartford to help drivers with disabilities share key details with first responders. The envelopes (which hold a driver’s license, registration, and extra info) are available free at DMVs, police stations and local community groups. Connecticut Post
- ➤ Fourteen veterans were chosen for the 21st class of the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame, Gov. Ned Lamont announced.
