Identity Mapping! w/ RA Alt. Ian

About this event

Identity Mapping! with RA Alt. Ian is a facilitated, arts-based program that encourages meaningful self-reflection and community building among residence hall students. The session begins with a brief, structured activity to help attendees name and organize the identities that shape their daily lives. Using markers, collage materials, and prompts, each participant will design a tangible identity map that visualizes relationships among roles, memories, cultural influences, and personal values. Small-group conversations will provide space to share insights, ask questions, and practice listening skills in a moderated, respectful setting. Representatives will also provide printed materials from campus resources such as the Cultural Center and Women’s Center, so students can connect with ongoing support and programming. The workshop is deliberately low-pressure and inclusive — no previous art or facilitation experience is necessary. Participants will leave with a completed art piece to keep, increased awareness of their own identity landscape, and practical information about campus supports to explore further.
