About this event
The first people to walk on Mars are alive today. Maybe one of them is sitting next to you. Start the night under tonight's real sky and find the planets and stars shining over Connecticut. Then strap in for Mars 1001, a dome film that rides along on the first human trip to the Red Planet: 1,001 days there and back. Watch the crew grow food in space, land on dusty red ground, and find their way home. After the film, we come back to the present: how astronauts live on the International Space Station right now, and the big ideas for living even farther out, like bases on the Moon, giant spinning space stations, and towns on Mars.
This is a show if you are curious about... traveling to Mars, life on the International Space Station, and how people might one day live in space for good.
This show is suitable for: ages 6 and up.
