Vendors set up a holiday market in Middletown for Small Business Saturday—shoppers and local families bought hand-crafted goods and homemade sweets, supporting small businesses.

Organizers said the event boosted community spirit and prepared vendors for a busy holiday season.

Walmart announced that Doug McMillon will retire early next year and John Furner will become the new CEO — the company recently renovated many stores and is hiring new workers in Connecticut.
