- ➤ In Connecticut, local churches+ nonprofits and community groups are organizing relief efforts for Hurricane Melissa victims, collecting needed supplies and coordinating with aid agencies to help those affected by the storm in the Caribbean. - ➤ At UConn, English professor Brenda Brueggemann and her students have spent three years researching the history of the Mansfield Training School—an institution that once housed people with intellectual disabilities and left behind a controversial legacy along Route 44. - ➤ UConn football beat Duke 37—34 at Rentschler Field on Nov. 8 with a late touchdown pass and a key forced fumble that energized the home crowd. The win built momentum toward bowl eligibility—paving the way for the final home game against Air Force. Connecticut Post
