  • On Saturday, Dunkin’ Park was filled with purple as community members honored the life of Jennifer Farber Dulos during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (the event aimed to spotlight the struggle against domestic violence). CULTURE NEWS

  • The American Manufacturing Hall of Fame is partnering with the American Mural Project to bring its Innovation Wall — a 1,500 square-foot interactive display showcasing 50 Connecticut firsts — to the Winsted facility from Oct.10 to Oct.28. EDUCATION NEWS

  • More than 100 bus drivers and monitors in the Cromwell and Middletown school districts face a potential strike that could disrupt student pickups and drop-offs if contract talks with DATTCO fail—negotiations continue until midnight today and a walkout is planned for Monday between 5:15 a.m. and 6:45 p.m.—families should verify local school plans for transportation alternatives.   Connecticut Post
