- ➤ A recent audit showed that CT special education providers failed to complete required background checks, properly train staff for restraint and seclusion, and provide all services promised in student IEPs—putting student safety at risk. - ➤ The University of Hartford hosted CT first responders for a three-day virtual reality training course in August, where police, firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers, and other emergency personnel practiced handling active shooter, hostage, and explosive scenarios.
