- ➤ Local and state leaders said yesterday that the Hartford Riverwalk will extend 2.5 miles from the Riverside Park boathouse to the new Windsor Riverwalk — funded by state and federal grants. Construction will begin in about 18 months with a target to finish in two years — adding benches, scenic views, and educational signs along the Connecticut River. CT News Junkie

- ➤ The Connecticut Appellate Court ruled that Enterprise Rental Car is not liable for injuries to jogger Liam Stanford after he was struck in Bristol on Aug. 24, 2019 because the law requires only that employees check the physical driver’s license & does not mandate online record verification. - ➤ On Sunday night in Windsor Locks, Joshua Browne saw a car crash on I-91 and left his exit to help a driver who had lost control — he performed CPR and dragged the injured driver from the roadway before police said the man is expected to fully recover. FOX61
- ➤ A two-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning closed the left two lanes between Exits 48 & 49 on I-84 in Hartford. WFSB-TV

- ➤ Beardsley Zoo has welcomed Pilatus — a one-year-old male red panda from Chattanooga Zoo — to join Ponya in the Natt Family Red Panda Habitat. His arrival is part of the Red Panda Species Survival Plan to help save the endangered species. NBC Connecticut
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hartford Public Library has raised $4.3 million and received $5 million in bonding to support its renovation, which will be completed by early 2026—this project will add new spaces like a social services center and a business support center.
