ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ An ambulance was hit by another vehicle at the intersection of Capitol Avenue and Hudson Street in Hartford, causing minor injuries to two emergency medical personnel and forcing the vehicle to be towed away. WTNH News 8
- ➤ Two emergency medical workers were sent to the hospital after their ambulance was T-boned by another vehicle at the intersection of Hudson and Buckingham streets at 3:45 p.m. Friday — police said. Connecticut Post

- ➤ Craig Wright, former owner of Craig's Kitchen that closed last August 2024, started Craig's Catering in a Hartford community kitchen after a personal loss reawakened his passion for cooking. He offers his traditional soul food menu of mac and cheese, yams, collard greens, chicken, pork, and fish and will deliver orders throughout Connecticut or to Springfield—Massachusetts for an extra fee. - ➤ Yesterday, Hartford police responded to a shooting at 140 Francis Avenue where a man in his 40s received a single gunshot wound and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition — investigators are examining the scene. WFSB-TV
- ➤ Police say a man in his 40s was shot on the Fourth of July on Francis Avenue—he arrived at St. Francis Hospital at 12:48 p.m. Friday and remains in critical condition while investigators examine the scene. NBC Connecticut
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Connecticut’s General Assembly ended its 2025 legislative session on June 4 after hours of debates and votes on over 100 bills. CT Mirror tracked 107 bills (21 signed by Gov. Ned Lamont and 2 still awaiting his signature) as committee actions and floor votes determined which proposals moved forward or stalled. CT Mirror
- ➤ Connecticut’s new law bans drivers from using the left lane on highways with more than two lanes unless they are passing, entering, or exiting; emergency and construction vehicles are exempt. The law goes into effect on Oct. 1 and imposes an $88 fine—aimed at reducing traffic delays and keeping emergency vehicles moving. News 12 Connecticut
