A 16-year-old local boy was charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, carrying a dangerous weapon and unlawful discharge of a firearm in connection with a May 20 shooting that killed 24-year-old Jordan Patterson near Irving and Woodland streets; he was extradited from Alabama and appeared in state Superior Court on Thursday.
