- ➤ On June 21 a driver was pinned by the steering wheel after crashing on I-91 north near exit 34 in Hartford — state police said the driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries as the fire department worked to free them from the car. WTNH News 8
- ➤ A multi-motorcycle accident on Interstate 84 in Tolland occurred yesterday at 8:23 a.m. and closed the eastbound lanes near exit 68—state police said the two riders sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries—and a wrecker cleared the scene. WTNH News 8

- ➤ Danbury man Veer Chetal pleaded guilty to fraud and money laundering charges in connection with a $245M Bitcoin heist that led to a failed kidnapping of his parents — he has agreed to testify against his co-defendants. Connecticut Post
- ➤ Nearly two years after Detective Bobby Garten was killed on duty in Hartford, the man responsible was sentenced to 30 years in prison. WFSB-TV

- ➤ Connecticut officially recognizes Diwali as a state holiday after the governor signed a bill with unanimous support earlier this month. Rajeev Pahuja, who wrote the bill, said the move is a first step toward having businesses and schools close on the day while local school districts and temples already mark the Hindu festival of lights.
