UConn medical students James Marks and Zach Giguere began a 48-day cross-country bike ride on June 10 from Seattle—raising funds and awareness for suicide prevention and mental health research via the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Marks, who lost his dad to suicide in 2022, and Giguere, noting increased mental health struggles after COVID, plan to complete their journey to support critical research.
