On June 8, local nonprofits received part of a $237,000 grant from the Hartford Foundation's James E.

Blair Fund for the Visually Impaired—CRIS Radio in Windsor received $30,000 to cover operating costs and run its kids' clubs while UR Community Cares in Manchester received $15,000 to expand its vision resources program.

On June 7 and 8, 2025, thousands of residents attended West Hartford's 38th annual Celebrate! festival, which featured music, games, food, rides, and community booths.

More than 150 arts and crafts vendors and 27 food stands offered a range of attractions — including CPR training at the fire department booth and a dunk tank that raised donations for a local food pantry.
