  • Dom's Broad Street Eatery in Windsor was crowned Connecticut's Best Breakfast after winning a Channel 3 viewer-voted competition against Two Brothers Cafe and earning 22,854 votes (of 45,687 total). The contest ran in April and May and featured 16 local breakfast spots.  WFSB-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Attorney General William Tong announced a lawsuit against Florida-based Triggered Brand—alleged to sell bootleg GLP-1 weight loss drugs without FDA approval—and issued a civil investigative demand to Made In China for online sales records. Tong warned local clinics to avoid these drugs—saying they may be unsafe—and noted the case seeks fines of up to $5,000 per violation.  FOX61
  • Gov. Ned Lamont said over 100,000 residents will soon get letters telling them that some or all of their medical debt is erased if they earn at or below four times the federal poverty level or if their debt is 5% or more of their income — the state partnered with Undue Medical Debt and spent $575,000 from American Rescue funds to cancel over $100 million in debt in this second round.  NBC Connecticut
