- ➤ Thousands of nursing and group home workers across Connecticut are threatening to strike if they do not receive higher wages and better conditions—many earn less than $20 an hour. Gov. Lamont met with union leaders, postponed the strike from Monday to Tuesday, May 27, and is working to secure additional budget funds to improve staffing. WFSB-TV
