  • Seventeen West Hartford students earned medals at Connecticut History Day on May 2 at Central Connecticut State University and winners, including Kamran Batchelder (from Sedgwick Middle School), will compete at the National History Day event at the University of Maryland starting June 14.   • Fly By Jing is recalling its Creamy Sesame Noodles sold at Whole Foods and online in Connecticut after a third-party manufacturer used shared equipment with peanuts—this may endanger those with peanut allergies.   • On Wednesday, May 13, the WNBA approved the sale and relocation of the Connecticut Sun to Houston; the team, rebranded as the Houston Comets, will start play in Houston in the 2027 season while finishing its final Connecticut season with two Hartford games this year.  CT Mirror
  • WNBA's Connecticut Sun will relocate to Houston in 2027 after Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta buys the team to revive the historic Comets name, with both the WNBA and NBA approving the move and leaving Connecticut without its women’s professional basketball team.  FOX61
