  • Pratt and Whitney union workers in East Hartford struck for the fifth day yesterday in rain, demanding better pay and retirement benefits while several lawmakers showed support. The company said it would maintain current job security protections while talks remain stalled + union leaders said they will persist with the strike + workers demand a fair contract.  FOX61
