Habitat for Humanity of North Central Connecticut is enlisting hundreds of volunteers to join Women Build on its house project at Mahl Avenue in Hartford—a month-long initiative empowering women with construction skills.

Dedication is planned in December.

West Hartford Public Schools announced three elementary school teacher finalists for Teacher of the Year Tuesday at a Board of Education meeting (Hixon from Morley, Ploof from Duffy, Woods from Aiken), with the winner set to be named on May 20.
