- ➤ Habitat for Humanity of North Central Connecticut is enlisting hundreds of volunteers to join Women Build on its house project at Mahl Avenue in Hartford—a month-long initiative empowering women with construction skills. Dedication is planned in December. FOX61

- ➤ West Hartford Public Schools announced three elementary school teacher finalists for Teacher of the Year Tuesday at a Board of Education meeting (Hixon from Morley, Ploof from Duffy, Woods from Aiken), with the winner set to be named on May 20. We-Ha
- ➤ Connecticut lawmakers closed the session with a $190M boost in education funding and an extra $152M in school grants amid debates on phones and homeschooling. The measures may help support local schools moving forward. FOX61

- ➤ The CT Senate passed a bill that extends solar incentives until 2035 + imposes a one-year moratorium on large solar array projects in East Windsor and Enfield, and paves the way for plug-in solar panels; the legislation now heads to Gov. Lamont for signature. Connecticut Public
