- ➤ Gov. Ned Lamont urged Pratt & Whitney machinists and management to settle their labor dispute that has kept over 3,000 workers on strike since Monday after rejecting a new contract; he stressed that both sides must work together to secure local jobs. The disagreement affects operations in East Hartford and Middletown while union leaders and company officials remain at odds over wage, benefits & job security issues. Connecticut Post

- ➤ Police are investigating a deadly shooting—multiple people were shot and one man died on Nelson Street in Hartford. WFSB-TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Hartford parents have raised concerns that funding cuts could force after school programs to limit services (a support many students need) and may prompt calls for review. NBC Connecticut
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Hartford said it would not renew the Southern Adirondack Audubon Society's policy because the chapter acted as an environmental protection organization; the insurer later reversed its decision after the group explained it only offers educational bird watching programs. The chapter now plans to seek another provider and has filed a complaint with the New York Department of Financial Services (regulator). CT Mirror

- ➤ The state House passed a compromise bill that requires employers to share details about worker quotas and digital monitoring in warehouses. The measure passed with a 97-46 vote and will apply to companies with 100 workers at a warehouse (or 1,000 statewide) if the Senate approves it. CT Mirror
