IDEX will close its Bristol facility later this year — the move is expected to result in over 70 layoffs as part of planned operational changes.

Ward will serve on the Connecticut Career Pathways Commission, established by Gov Lamont to create a five-year plan linking education and good paying jobs. The commission, led by former U.S. education secretary Miguel Cardona, will submit its report to state lawmakers by year’s end.
