  • Gray Media reached an agreement to restore all its local television stations, including WFSB Channel 3 Eyewitness News, to the DISH lineup effective immediately. DISH customers can once again get local news, weather and sports updates.  WFSB-TV

  • Connecticut officials will consider Senate Bill 8 that funds a new Supplemental Graduate School Program (administered by CHELSA) to help nursing students cover costs after federal loan changes. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Hartford’s new pilot plans to help Section 8 recipients buy homes by offering financial literacy courses and credit advice; participants must meet mortgage requirements, including down payments and inspections, before using their vouchers toward a house.   • Acting Child Advocate Christina Ghio released a letter on Thursday raising concerns over a child’s apparent suicide—occurring less than an hour after a DCF home visit—despite confidentiality rules.   • A coalition led by Regina Stankaitis is pushing to launch a statewide registry for Parkinson’s disease needs after a 2024 law (still unfunded) failed to allocate money.   • Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford fired its president effective immediately as Trinity Health Of New England named Dr. Robert Roose as interim leader and Dr. Steve Hanks as new CEO with Montez Carter stepping down July 1 after state-led inspections raised safety concerns.  CT Mirror
