- ➤ University of Connecticut will offer student housing in Hartford this fall by leasing about 57 studio & one bedroom apartments at The Donaghue at 525 Main St. This move will ease space constraints before a larger housing complex called The Annex with about 200 beds opens next August and a new cafe opens at the Hartford Times campus. - ➤ On April 30, nonprofit leaders including Gian-Carl Casa and Rep. Jillian Gilchrest warned state lawmakers that without increased funding, vital services like mental health care and addiction treatment will face cuts—potentially forcing closures of key programs and transitional homes in our community.
