- ➤ A new study shows that infant care costs more than $20,000 a year in nine states and that in 38 states these costs are higher than in-state tuition; in Connecticut, families pay about $20,254 for infant care compared to $16,035 for tuition. The report also finds that raising a child from birth to age 18 costs nearly $300,000 overall. NBC Connecticut

- ➤ Hundreds of fans met UConn star Sarah Strong at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Manchester today as she signed player cards, shirts, and took photos with them. The WCBA National Freshman of the Year—honored for her play—said she was proud of her team and excited for her next season. NBC Connecticut
- ➤ Today a parade celebrating the UConn women’s basketball team’s win will be held in downtown Hartford — the route starts at the State Capitol building at Trinity and Elm streets, goes past Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, turns onto Jewell and then Trumbull streets, and ends at the intersection of Asylum and Trumbull; police will begin road closures at 12:30 p.m. A rally will begin at 1:30 p.m. outside the XL Center on Trumbull where players, coaches, and guests will speak.
