West Hartford Police announced that K9 Onyx died after battling lymphoma.

The working dog (certified in patrol and narcotics detection) was honored with a memorial cruiser outside the department.

On Saturday, April 4, officers and K9 teams from West Hartford and neighboring towns gathered at Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center in Middletown for Onyx’s memorial service – the 6-year-old German Shepherd and longtime partner of Officer Timothy Camerl was euthanized after battling lymphoma.
