- ➤ Federal authorities indicted a 43-year-old man from Hartford on charges of murder for hire and distributing fentanyl, cocaine and cocaine base after a confidential informant met him five times (between February and March in Massachusetts and Vermont). NBC Connecticut
- ➤ An Uber driver was arrested in East Hartford over the weekend after being accused of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old rider at Margarita’s parking lot when the victim fought him off by punching him, and he now faces charges of first degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct. WFSB-TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A new report shows that Connecticut school districts received over $353 million from DOE grant programs in 2024—though nearly $40 million remains unpaid and another $14 million has been frozen as the administration reorganizes education. State officials said districts will get the remaining funds by June 30 and warned that states may face added burdens as they distribute money for key programs. Connecticut Public
