  • Connecticut’s largest furniture bank for the unhoused launched a new thrift store called Home For Good in West Hartford, with proceeds going directly to support its services.   • Scottie Scheffler, the world’s top golfer, joined the player field for the 2026 Travelers Championship. The event runs from June 22 to 26 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.  WFSB-TV
  • Southwest Airlines will launch two nonstop flights from Bradley to Indianapolis on Friday (departures are 10:20 a.m. and 3:50 p.m.) to support fans heading to the NCAA Men’s Final Four as No. 2 UConn meets No. 3 Illinois in Indianapolis Saturday at 6:09 p.m.  NBC Connecticut
  • Two airlines will offer nonstop flights from Bradley for UConn fans traveling to the Final Four. Southwest Airlines will add two flights to Indianapolis on Friday, April 3 (departing at 10:20 a.m. and 3:50 p.m.) while Breeze Airways will provide service to Phoenix for women’s games.  WFSB-TV
  • World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (a two-time Masters champion and current British Open titleholder) has committed to play in the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell from June 24-28; the golfer also won the 2025 PGA Championship and posted three Top 10 finishes in six starts this year.  NBC Connecticut
