- ➤ A suspect is in custody after hitting an East Hartford police cruiser and then crashing while trying to merge onto Interstate 91 on Thursday morning—state troopers arrived around 11:09 a.m., and officers reported the suspect had minor injuries while the officer was unharmed. NBC Connecticut

- ➤ Gov. Lamont said Connecticut lost more than $150 million in federal grants—used for public health, mental health, and addiction services—after the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services cut funds early this week.
