- ➤ A 33-year-old West Hartford Uber driver was arrested on disorderly conduct charges after he allegedly used a customer's South Windsor bathroom to masturbate and opened the door while exposed around 2:20 a.m. Friday—he turned himself in, was released on a $1,500 bond, and his access to Uber was removed. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Connecticut Department of Transportation began construction on a $91.8M project to improve the 61-year-old Dutch Point Viaduct on I-91 South in Hartford. Drivers should expect delays as one lane remains closed with temporary closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.—the work will be completed in three stages by September. FOX61
- ➤ Lawmakers spoke on Monday about drastic cuts to vital food assistance programs that could affect access to food for thousands of Connecticut residents. WFSB-TV
- ➤ On March 1, Connecticut State Police removed Auxiliary Troopers from patrol functions and reassigned them to administrative roles—marking the end of their long-standing support role that began during World War II.
