Erin Boggs from the Open Communities Alliance said a bill called Towns Take the Lead will let towns change zoning rules using numbers from a state study to guide affordable housing plans—House Bill 6944 just cleared the housing committee on Monday.

The annual Johnny’s Jog for Charity 5K will be held on March 23, 2025 at Blue Back Square in West Hartford with festivities starting at 9 a.m. and the race beginning at 10:30 a.m.—participants can join in person or virtually to support nonprofit children’s organizations including the Sunflower Kids Program.

On Sunday morning, nearly 1,500 runners started the O’Hartford Race at Trinity Health Stadium as part of four St. Patrick’s Day-themed races hosted by the Hartford Marathon Foundation.

The event, held since 2005 — drawing runners from across the state in both 5K and 10K races — concluded with a celebration and award ceremony.
