CRIME NEWS

  • Hartford police are investigating the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Myron Meyers — who was found with a gunshot wound outside the American Legion Building on Main Street near Battles Street — after a ShotSpotter alert led responders to the scene around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, with Meyers later dying at a nearby hospital.  WFSB-TV

CULTURE NEWS

  • The 53rd annual St. Patrick’s Day parade began this morning in Hartford, drawing tens of thousands to celebrate Irish culture + heritage. Parade organizers said the event passes on Irish traditions to young people and builds strong community ties.  WFSB-TV
