  • David Arconti, a former Danbury lawmaker who has served as PURA’s interim commissioner since August, was advanced by a legislative panel in a 20—1 vote. His nomination will move forward for final confirmation when the next round of hearings starts in early April.  CT Mirror
  • Connecticut lawmakers are reworking a child advocate bill after Governor Lamont opposed a plan that would remove his power to appoint. Representative Mary Welander said the revised draft will establish clear reappointment deadlines—requiring public reports on the advocate’s work to keep the process transparent.  CT Mirror

  • Connecticut hospitals and community partners call for changes in Medicaid as low reimbursement rates strain care and raise costs for patients. They propose adjustments to the hospital tax program and new investments to improve access to care and lower chronic disease risks.  CT Mirror
