  • United Illuminating filed its 2026 Rate Adjustment Mechanism request with the state, proposing an estimated 11% drop in monthly electric bills starting May 1 (about a $27.89 reduction for a typical Rate R customer using 700 kWh) if approved by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority.  CT News Junkie

  • UConn men's basketball team held at No.5 on David Borges' ballot while Arizona dropped from No.1 to No.4 after its second loss — UConn's win over Kansas helped keep its ranking steady.  Connecticut Post
  • The #1 UConn women’s basketball team won Saturday’s Big East game against Marquette in Milwaukee with Azzi Fudd scoring 25 points and Sarah Strong adding 22 points, improving its record to 27-0 as it prepares to face Villanova on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.  WFSB-TV
  • No. 6 UConn beat Georgetown 79-75 Saturday night, led by Solo Ball with 20 points and Alex Karaban, who scored 18 and made his record 136th start as the team's winningest player.
