ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The Connecticut Department of Labor reported that unemployment rose slightly to 4% in November though it remains below the national rate of 4.6%. Job changes were mixed with 700 jobs lost in October and 2,100 gained in November, and job seekers are urged to use local American Job Center resources. FOX61

- ➤ Fresh fruits available today rely on a global network using fossil fuels & refrigerated transportation to bring strawberries from Mexico, oranges from California and Florida, grapes and blueberries from Chile, and bananas from Ecuador, while local greenhouses in Connecticut supply some produce despite higher heating use.
