About this event

Adam Mirza and Akiva Zamcheck present the latest iteration of their ongoing duo performance project "Fake Radiolab," in which they irreverently adopt the mannerisms and mania of radiophonic personalities and media genres (e.g., YouTube rants, ASMR sessions, self-help narratio ns, dream sequences, radio plays, podcasts, nature documentaries) to playfully/seriously jar the clarity and authority imparted to "content" by contemporary audio production. Acting as (unreliable) hosts of a live podcast, the pair presents a kind of musicalized speech performance that juxtaposes multiple modes of audio narration against live synths, violin, and sampled audio fragments.Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. We encourage you to RSVP to help us with our planning and to get a reminder the day before this event. While RSVPs are not required for entry, they are a big help! While you're on campus, we encourage you to visit the Center for the Arts (https://www.wesleyan.edu/cfa/) to explore current art exhibitions and other programming."https://www.wesleyan.edu/cfa/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Center for the Arts to explore current art exhibitions and other programming.
