Allison Riback McLaughlin: "Tones of Home" in Pegasus Gallery

About this event

November 2, 2026 –January 15, 2027

Opening Reception on Monday, November 9, 4:30-6:30pm.

Allison Riback McLaughlin’s paintings and drawings capture the quiet rhythms of life in rural Connecticut. In “Tones of Home,” human and animal subjects inhabit serene interiors and bucolic landscapes. The autobiographical nature of Allison’s work offers a glimpse into a private world, where deep connections to family and place are carefully observed and preserved. While her compositions, poses, and iconography subtly reference Renaissance and Regionalist traditions, Allison’s meticulously rendered imagery rewards viewers with intimate scenes that resonate with warmth, familiarity, and a strong sense of belonging.

Allison is an adjunct studio art instructor at CT State Middlesex and Sacred Heart University. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the New York Academy of Art and a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Design from Sacred Heart University. Her work has been exhibited throughout Connecticut and New York City.
