Virtual - Simsbury Camera Club Speaker Series: Macro/Closeup Photography with Arik Gorban

About this event

Macro photography is a fun and creative way to capture very small subjects, or small sections of larger subjects, and show them larger than they are in real life. The most common use of macro photography is to capture the fine details of small objects, such as flowers, insects, jewelry, etc. In this presentation, Arik shares ideas and techniques for other creative uses of macro photography that focus on shapes, forms, textures, colors, and details to create visually

interesting and impactful images. The presentation covers ideas for subjects, gear options, shooting and lighting techniques, and post processing. A live demonstration of simple, but critical, post processing in Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop follows the slide presentation.
